Without Leaving Town

Become a Host Family for an Exchange Student — for about 3 months!

Each year, the Rotary Club of Benicia seeks three or four families to host a student for about three months per family.  You do not have to have children at Benicia H.S., or be a Rotarian, but you must live in the BUSD School District.

2009-2010 Exhchange Student

This year's exchange student is Kristina Kovacikova, a 16-year-old from Slovakia, who likes to “hang out with friends,” play volleyball, and play badminton. She also enjoys cycling, skiing and swimming, as well as reading and music.  She will attend Benicia H.S. for the 2009-2010 school year.

Although she describes herself as a “typical” teenager she is anything but as her classes include: English, English conversation with lecturer, French, Slovak language, Mathematics, Bilingual Mathematics, Biology, Geography, Bilingual Geography, Chemistry, Physics, History, PE, Information technology, Aesthetics, Religion, and Bilingual Religion.

Wouldn't you like to add Kristina to your home for a few months?
